Santos’s $5.8 billion Barossa gas pipeline project proceeds after court win

The Australian Federal Court has ruled in favour of Santos in the case of Munkara v Santos NA Barossa Pty Ltd — dismissing the application and discharging the injunction that prevented pipelay activities south of the kilometre 86 (KP86) point along the Barossa Gas Export Pipeline. As per the ruling and in accordance with the project’s Environmental Plan, Santos will continue its pipelaying activity for the Barossa Gas Project. A syndicate of sophisticated investors has agreed to inject $3.5 million into Pilot Energy (ASX:PGY) to progress the company’s flagship Mid West Clean Energy Project (MWCEP) in Western Australia. Galilee Energy has welcomed the Central West Queensland Remote Area Planning and Development (RAPAD) and VisIR partnership which will progress the proposed 930-kilometre electricity transmission line from Hughenden to Bileola. Santos delays FID for Narrabri gas project until 2025

Santos has announced in its latest ASX investor update that a final investment decision (FID) on its Narrabri gas project will not take place until 2025. This comes after the Australian federal government recently announced it will reassess the company’s Hunter Gas Pipeline under Commonwealth environmental laws. The project decision will remain open until 8 December 2023. The seven first turbines at Equinor's 88 MW floating wind power project, the Hywind Tampen, will come on stream this year as planned. The final four will be installed next spring. Supply chain bottlenecks, most notably related to the global market for steel, has delayed delivery of the final four tower sections for the wind turbines until September 2022. Shell Nederland B.V. and Shell Overseas Investments B.V., subsidiaries of Shell plc, have taken the final investment decision to build Holland Hydrogen I, which will be Europe’s largest renewable hydrogen plant once operational in 2025. The 200MW electrolyser will be constructed on the Tweede Maasvlakte in the port of Rotterdam and will produce up to 60,000 kilograms of renewable hydrogen per day. Equinor transfers operatorship for Gulf of Mexico field to Shell

Equinor has agreed to sell 51 per cent of its interest in the North Platte deep water development project in the US Gulf of Mexico to Shell. Equinor will retain 49 per cent interest in the project, and Shell will become the new operator of the field. To reflect this change, Equinor and Shell have agreed to rename the North Platte development to the Sparta development. Chevron Corporation’s North American upstream assets have earned Project Canary’s highest ratings on operational and environmental performance. The analysis was conducted on Chevron’s assets in Texas and Colorado. As a result of the certification process, 82 wells achieved ‘Platinum’ status and three wells received ‘Gold’ status, Project Canary’s highest ratings and confirmation of Chevron’s industry-leading practices, including continuous monitoring. AXP energy boosts production with low-cost well re-completion in the US

ASX-listed AXP Energy Limited has seen material production gains from a low-cost well re-completion of a single well in the Illinois Basin. The well re-completion for DPI-2605 has added considerably to gross daily production with the well now steadily flowing about 50 barrels of oil and 300 thousand cubic feet of gas per day.
