Jemena secures land access for the Northern Gas Pipeline

Jemena’s $800 million Northern Gas Pipeline (NGP) has reached another crucial milestone, after land access arrangements with the Wakaya People were finalised. The decision means Jemena has now secured land access with all Traditional Owner groups across the 622km pipeline route in both the Northern Territory and Queensland. Jemena will now move to formalise these arrangements over the coming days. Senex approves $50 million investment in the Western Surat Gas Project

Senex Energy Limited has sanctioned its first major investment in the Western Surat Gas Project, committing $50 million to a 30 well drilling campaign, with gas production of around 10 TJ/day (~0.6 mmboe p.a.) expected by mid-20181. New liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) distribution network approved

On 1 February 2017, the Essential Services Commission of South Australia (ESCOSA) approved a request from Australian Gas Networks Limited for a new distribution network under its licence; specifically, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) services in the Mount Barker, Littlehampton and Nairne area. Australian Gas Networks Limited submitted its request to the Commission for a LPG distribution network on 8 November 2016. BHP approves Atlantis Phase 3 project

The BHP Board has approved BHP’s US$696 million (roughly AUD$973m) share in funding to develop the Atlantis Phase 3 project in the US Gulf of Mexico. Atlantis Phase 3 is located in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico, approximately 208 kilometres off the coast of Louisiana. The project is a subsea tie-back of eight new production wells that will be drilled and completed to access infill resource opportunities. Total makes potential game-changing gas condensate discovery

Major energy player, Total has announced a significant gas condensate discovery at the Brulpadda prospects, located on Block 11B/12B in the Outeniqua Basin, approximately 175 kilometres off the southern coast of South Africa. Po Valley announces maiden gas reserves for Selva Malvezzi field

Australian emerging oil and gas exploration and development company, Po Valley Energy Limited, has announced maiden gas reserves for its majority-owned onshore Selva Malvezzi field in northern Italy. The maiden gross 2P reserves for Selva were prepared by independent geophysical services consultancy, CGG, from previously reported gross contingent resources but also included results from new drilling on the field early last year (Podere Maiar 1 well). Oil and gas exploration and production company, Otto Energy Limited has announced that the exploration well, Green #1, testing the Lightning prospect in Matagorda County Texas, has reached a final total depth of 4638 metres (15216 ft).
