Santos has announced that agreement has been reached with their joint venture partners to enter the front-end engineering and design (FEED) phase for the development of the Barossa project to backfill Darwin LNG (DLNG). The Gorgon Joint Venture has announced that drilling at one of Australia's biggest resources projects, off the North-West coast is set to commence next year. INPEX has announced that through INPEX Browse E&P Pty Ltd, a subsidiary, it was individually awarded an exploration permit for Release Area WA-533-P (the Block) as Operator in Australia’s 2017 Offshore Petroleum Exploration Acreage Release. INPEX Browse will hold a 100% participating interest in the Block where it will henceforth pursue exploration activities. LS Cable & System awarded submarine cable contract in Taiwan

Korea-based industrial company, LS Cable & System (LS C&S), has secured a contract to deliver submarine cables for the Greater Changhua offshore project in Taiwan until 2021. On July 12, LS C&S entered a contract with Denmark’s national energy company, Ørsted, for which it will be supplying submarine cables to Greater Changhua 1 and 2a wind farm. Shell starts production at Appomattox in the Gulf of Mexico

Royal Dutch Shell plc, through its subsidiary Shell Offshore Inc (Shell) has started production at the Shell-operated Appomattox floating production system months ahead of schedule, opening a new frontier in the deep-water US Gulf of Mexico. BP and partners confirm investment offshore Angola

BP and its partners have confirmed further investment into deepwater Block 15, offshore Angola as part of an agreement with Angola's National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (NAPGB). The agreement will extend the production sharing agreement for the Block 15 through 2032 The deal will also give the state-owned company Sonangol a 10 per cent equity interest in the block. Operated by Esso Angola, Block 15 has produced more than 2.2 billion barrels of oil since 2003.
