Jemena engages construction partner for pipeline project

Jemena’s $800 million Northern Gas Pipeline Project (NGP) continues to progress smoothly, with a number of critical milestones being reached in recent weeks. Jemena’s Managing Director, Paul Adams, said the final length of line pipe required for the NGP has been delivered to Darwin, while Jemena is also well advanced with preparatory works as part of the construction of the NGP. Esso Australia announces completion of Longford Gas Conditioning Plant

Esso Australia, a part of the ExxonMobil Australia group of companies, has completed its Longford Gas Conditioning Plant, which processes gas from the Kipper Tuna Turrum development. Production from the gas conditioning plant marks the completion of the AUD$5.5 billion Kipper Tuna Turrum development – the largest domestic gas project on Australia’s eastern seaboard. Arrow enters FEED for substantial Surat asset expansion

Arrow Energy will undertake the front-end engineering design (FEED) phase for a proposed major expansion of its Tipton gas project 30km west of Dalby in Queensland’s Surat Basin. Arrow Energy CEO Qian Mingyang said the project involved a significant upgrade of existing facilities, and would more than double production capacity from Tipton to more than 80 TJ/d. “This project continues the development of the Arrow resource which will see more gas in the market,” Mr Qian said. Engineering company Monadelphous Group Limited has been awarded a major, long-term offshore maintenance services contract for INPEX Operations Australia associated with the Ichthys LNG Project, located in the Browse Basin, approximately 450 kilometres from Broome, Western Australia. Equinor wins seven exploration blocks offshore Argentina

Oil and gas company, Equinor, will now add seven offshore exploration blocks to its portfolio, after presenting winning bids in the 1st Offshore Licensing Round in Argentina. The bid round was arranged in Buenos Aires on 16 April. A total of 38 blocks were on offer in the licensing round, the first open bid round for Argentinean offshore acreage in more than 20 years. Shell to sell interest in US Gulf of Mexico asset for $965 million

Shell Offshore Inc., a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc, has agreed to sell its 22.45 per cent non-operated interest in the Caesar-Tonga asset in the US Gulf of Mexico to Delek CT Investment LLC, a subsidiary of Delek Group Ltd. The value of this deal is $965 million in cash. Caesar-Tonga is located approximately 190 miles (300 kilometers) south-southwest from New Orleans, Louisiana in the Green Canyon area of the US Gulf of Mexico. ExxonMobil discovers natural gas offshore of Cyprus

International oil and gas company, ExxonMobil Corporation (ExxonMobil), has discovered natural gas offshore of Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean at the Glaucus-1 well. Located in Block 10, the well encountered a gas-bearing reservoir of approximately 133 meters on Thursday, 28 February. The Company has stated that the well was safely drilled to a depth of 4,200 meters in 2,063 meters of water.
