Melbana completes sale of Beehive prospect to EOG Australia

Melbana Energy Limited has completed the sale of its exploration permit WA-488-P, containing the Beehive prospect to EOG Australia. Melbana has received a payment of US$7.5 million from EOG Australia in consideration. The terms of the sale agreement provide for EOG Australia to make Contingent Additional Payments to Melbana totalling US$5 million, subject to EOG Australia making certain future elections in regard to the WA-488-P permit area. Final investment decisions have been made on the Scarborough and Pluto Train 2 developments, including new domestic gas facilities and modifications to Pluto Train 1 off WA's North West. The $16 billion liquefied natural gas development will see gas from the Scarborough resource processed at Woodside's Pluto LNG facility on the Burrup Peninsula, near Karratha. Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) has gained planning approval to build one of the world’s largest hydrogen equipment manufacturing facilities in Gladstone, Queensland. Woodside has entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) for the sale of a 49 per cent non-operating participating interest in the Pluto Train 2 Joint Venture. Greater Pluto reserves and resource update

Woodside has completed a review of the reserves and resource estimates for the Greater Pluto region. Excluding 2021 production to date, the 1P Total reserves have increased by approximately 10 per cent and the 2P Total reserves have decreased by approximately 10 per cent. The review follows completion of integrated subsurface studies incorporating 4D seismic and well performance data. The updated estimate has been calculated based on a probabilistic method. The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) has granted $1.5 million in funding to support a feasibility study into the development of a 40-megawatt hydrogen hub at the Port of Newcastle in New South Wales. Operations begin at 88 Energy’s Hickory-1 well in Alaska

Well operations have commenced at the Hickory-1 well, with well bore preparations complete and perforation of the Upper SFS zone to begin ahead of fracking and flow testing. The Hickory-1 well is located within 88 Energy’s Project Phoenix acreage, directly adjacent to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System and the Dalton Highway.
