ANYbotics and Equans partner to revolutionise offshore automation

Seeking to transform the offshore renewable energy sector, ANYbotics, a global provider of AI-driven robot inspection solutions, has joined forces with Equans Offshore Business Unit, a major offshore solutions provider.

This strategic partnership aims to deploy ANYmal, ANYbotics’ flagship robotic solution, in challenging offshore environments, revolutionising workflows and enhancing operational efficiency.

ANYmal, known for its robust design and autonomous capabilities, will automate real-time data collection, asset monitoring, and maintenance support in high-risk offshore facilities.

Equans will offer ANYmal to clients either as a direct purchase or through a Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) model, complete with implementation support, training, and expertise.

The collaboration is set to bring numerous benefits to offshore operators. ANYmal’s ability to perform up to 50 per cent of inspection tasks on offshore platforms, including visual, thermal, and acoustic inspections, is expected to significantly improve operational efficiency.

By reducing human exposure to hazardous environments, the robotic solution will enhance safety standards in offshore operations.

Oussama Darouichi, Associate Director of Strategic Alliances & Partnerships at ANYbotics, highlighted the partnership’s potential impact: “Automating routine inspections within offshore wind through advanced robotics will reduce costs and downtime emissions, and positions Equans and ANYbotics at the forefront of servicing this rapidly growing, sustainable industry.”

The cost-effectiveness of ANYmal is another key advantage.

By increasing uptime, streamlining maintenance, and reducing the need for on-site interventions, the robotic solution is expected to lower operational costs and associated carbon emissions.

Pascal Grosjean, General Manager of Equans Offshore Business Unit, emphasised the partnership’s commitment to innovation and sustainability: “Together, we are committed to delivering groundbreaking solutions that enhance our customers’ efficiency and drive the essential movement towards decarbonisation and digitalisation.”

As ANYbotics and Equans lead the offshore renewable energy sector into a future of automated, efficient, and sustainable operations, their collaboration sets a new standard for proactive monitoring and maintenance in offshore energy.

This partnership marks a significant step towards ensuring long-term sustainability and operational excellence in the rapidly evolving offshore renewable energy landscape.
