EnerMech, a global provider of specialist services to the energy sector, has announced a significant contract extension with North Oil Company (NOC) in Qatar.
The five-year agreement, valued at an undisclosed amount, will see EnerMech continue to deliver leak testing and flange management services for NOC’s operations in the Al Shaheen Oil Field.
The contract renewal builds upon a successful partnership that began in 2017, highlighting EnerMech’s strong performance and deep understanding of NOC’s assets.
The scope of work includes critical services such as bolt tensioning and torquing, pipe freezing, and training.
Charles ‘Chuck’ Davison Jr., CEO of EnerMech, expressed his satisfaction with the contract extension, stating: “Securing an extension to an already long-term project is testament to the commitment, hard work, and professionalism of the Qatar team.”
He particularly commended Sean Lawless, Country Manager for Qatar, for establishing EnerMech as a leading service provider in the region.
The Al Shaheen Oil Field, located 80 kilometres north of Doha in the Arabian Gulf, is Qatar’s largest offshore oil field.
It is part of the extensive South Pars/North Dome Gas-Condensate field and is known for its complexity and significant production capacity.
Dan Collins, Regional Director of AMEC, emphasised the strategic importance of this contract, noting: “This arrangement is an important scope of work for EnerMech and highlights our expertise and depth of knowledge in the market.”
He added that the company is eager to build on its strong footing in Qatar as 2025 progresses.
This contract extension reinforces EnerMech’s growing presence in the Middle East, a region the company has identified as crucial for its expansion plans.
With operations in Qatar since 2009, EnerMech is well-positioned to capitalise on new opportunities in the area, leveraging its innovative technologies and proven track record.
As the energy sector continues to evolve, partnerships like the one between EnerMech and NOC demonstrate the ongoing importance of specialised services in maintaining and optimising oil and gas operations in complex offshore environments.
