After two decades setting the standard for service in Western Australia, Heat Exchangers WA has officially rebranded as Genovex, marking its evolution from a specialist in heat exchangers to a fully integrated thermal energy solutions provider.
The launch of Genovex reflects not the start of a new company, but the recognition of how far the business has grown.
Built on the 20‑year foundation laid by founder Steve Sammut, the new brand brings together the group’s dedicated divisions — Heat Exchangers WA, Boilertronix, Evap X, and Heat X — under one united identity.
For years, customers have associated the company with its “Service is our Passion” motto.
However, as Sammut explained, the name no longer captured the full scope of the business.
“Genovex is simply Heat Exchangers WA, but more,” said Steve Sammut, Founder and Managing Director.
“We built this business on a reputation where service is a passion, not just a slogan.
“That DNA hasn’t changed. But with our long-standing partnership with Evapco and the recent acquisition of Boilertronix, we realised we needed a brand that reflected our full capability.”
The company’s growth has been steady and strategic.
The transformation began in 2012 when global cooling leader Evapco identified the WA firm as its ideal local partner, leading to the establishment of Evap X.
In 2024, the group strengthened its market position with the acquisition of Boilertronix, adding industry-leading boiler expertise to its portfolio.
This expanded capability cements Genovex’s reputation for speed, quality, and reliability—qualities best exemplified when the team achieved a record-breaking turnaround of a 26-tonne T50 heat exchanger in 10 days.
The same technical excellence now extends to round-the-clock support for critical boiler and cooling systems across Western Australia.
“The launch of Genovex is a ‘brands-first’ strategy,” said Todd Alder, CEO of Genovex.
“Our clients don’t want to lose the specialists they trust.
“Heat Exchangers WA, Boilertronix, and Evap X remain your market leaders.
“Genovex simply unites them, allowing us to leverage our 20-year service heritage into a seamless, integrated offering for our clients.”
The company’s new identity is backed by major local investment at its 4,000 m² Beckenham facility, now the only workshop in Western Australia operating two shifts to reduce client downtime.
With Australia’s largest inventory of high-quality aftermarket parts, Genovex offers what it calls an “Independent Advantage”— guaranteeing the fastest turnaround for all makes and models.
The business is also prioritising workforce development through cross-hiring initiatives and career pathway programs aimed at training multi-skilled technicians and promoting internal growth within the group.
All existing contracts and service agreements will remain unchanged.
Customers will continue working with their trusted contacts, now “Part of the Genovex Group”.
Genovex is Western Australian-owned and operated.
