Key features of the new testing program include:

  1. Hydrophobic and oleophobic tests: These assess the filter’s ability to repel water and oil contaminants.
  2. Ice rejection test: A unique Parker comparative test that evaluates filter performance in icy conditions over a seven-hour period.
  3. Mobile test rigs: Deployed at various sites to test filters against real-world contaminants like hydrocarbons, salt spray, fog, and heavy dust.
  4. Environmental simulations: Tests conducted under extreme temperature conditions to gather performance data in diverse weather scenarios.

Parker’s mobile test rigs generate millions of data points monthly, recording crucial parameters such as airflow, pressure loss, temperature, and relative humidity.

This extensive data collection ensures optimal filter performance across a wide range of environments, including those typical to the Middle East, Europe, and North America.

The company has also implemented rigorous physical testing to prove the robustness of its filtration systems during long-term deployment.

These tests include:

  1. Thermal testing
  2. Vibration testing
  3. Shock testing
  4. Long-term test rig (LTTR): A unique Parker test that exposes filters to various weather conditions for 12 to 24 months

The comprehensive testing regime has played a crucial role in the development of Parker’s clearcurrent Assure TriDustPlus filters, designed specifically for the latest gas turbines.

These filters have demonstrated unmatched performance in the most challenging conditions, thanks to the extensive testing and refinement process.
