PipeSense expands pipeline monitoring coverage in high-consequence areas

PipeSense, the US-based pipeline integrity and monitoring specialist, has reported significant growth in the first half of 2024, expanding its advanced pipeline monitoring and leak detection technologies to cover several high-consequence areas (HCAs).

The company has successfully deployed its PipeGuard leak detection system and PipeTest services to multiple essential sites throughout the Permian Basin since the beginning of the year.

This expansion marks a significant milestone for PipeSense in its first full year of operation.

The increased coverage of assets and services performed highlights a successful period for the company and sets the stage for further regional and international expansion.

PipeSense’s growth is supported by state-of-the-art testing and development facilities in Houston and Minnesota.

The company’s portfolio of AI-backed technologies allows pipeline operators to improve operational efficiency through continuous monitoring.

By leveraging the latest proven AI analysis techniques, PipeSense offers tailored solutions that address operational challenges and enhance pipeline performance.

The company’s growth trajectory has been bolstered by several new contract wins, strengthening its capacity to support pipeline projects and improve performance across the United States.

PipeSense’s technologies can be easily fitted to any section of a pipeline, providing operators with peace of mind and improved operational efficiency.

Stuart Mitchell, President & CTO of PipeSense, commented on the company’s 2024 success: “Covering an extensive mileage of pipeline across the US is an incredibly significant milestone in our journey, made possible by our disruptive technologies and the brilliant team behind them. Innovation is non-negotiable at PipeSense, so our recent successes will allow us to keep striving to develop new solutions that the industry can proudly adopt.”

Mitchell also highlighted the company’s future plans, stating: “Several new projects we have in development are a testament to the effectiveness of our technology in supporting operators with pipeline issues and how we have been embraced by operators since launching. We look forward to building on these successes for the remainder of the year as we target new markets and regions that will accentuate our capabilities.”

As PipeSense continues to expand its reach and develop innovative solutions, the company is poised to make significant contributions to pipeline safety and efficiency in high-consequence areas and beyond.
