Sentinel Subsea has announced a refreshed brand identity that underscores its rapid growth, global expansion, and evolving mission.
The update marks a significant new chapter for the company, which has experienced notable success over the past two years amid rising demand for its innovative, passive technologies.
Founded six years ago, Sentinel has established itself as a recognised name in the subsea integrity sector, so much so that most industry professionals now refer to the company simply as Sentinel.
With projects and clients spanning Brazil, Australia, the USA, the UK, and the UAE, the brand refresh is a direct response to customer feedback and the company’s expanding role in subsea integrity management.
The updated identity features a new look, clearer messaging, and a more confident tone, all designed to reinforce Sentinel’s core mission: delivering Asset Integrity Confidence through simple, reliable, and sustainable technologies.
The brand refresh also aims to reposition Sentinel beyond decommissioning, highlighting its capability to support subsea assets from development through to end-of-life.
Sentinel’s proprietary Passive Trigger Technology, which powers its WellSentinel™ and SAFE Disc™ solutions, is unique in the market.
These technologies enable the detection of hydrocarbons or other emissions without the need for powered subsea systems, real-time communications, or complex infrastructure, reducing costs and simplifying deployment.
Driven by shifting industry needs, Sentinel’s R&D strategy continues to evolve, with a strong emphasis on customer collaboration and emerging environmental priorities.
A key area of development is carbon capture and storage (CCS), where Sentinel’s passive technologies are being adapted to monitor abandoned wells that pose risks in long-term CO₂ storage.
These solutions offer viable, risk-based options for CCS Monitoring, Measurement, and Verification (MMV) strategies, filling gaps where traditional systems fall short.
Neil Gordon, CEO of Sentinel, commented: “Our brand refresh is more than a new look — it’s a reflection of how far we’ve come and where we’re going next.
“We’ve listened carefully to how our customers view us, what they value most, and how we can continue to support them with simple, effective, and sustainable solutions.
Gordon said the refreshed brand closely aligns with Sentinel’s mission to provide Asset Integrity Confidence and demonstrates the company’s dedication to innovation throughout the entire lifecycle of subsea assets.
He described this as a crucial milestone for Sentinel and expressed enthusiasm about advancing with a renewed identity that will help drive their global ambitions.
As Sentinel continues its international expansion, the company works closely with local partners to ensure its solutions meet regional regulations and operational requirements.
Looking ahead to 2025, Sentinel plans to scale its core technologies, deepen its presence in the CCS market, and further strengthen its portfolio of passive monitoring solutions.
