Shell and Ducati unveil revolutionary motorcycle oil for next-gen engines

Shell Lubricants and Ducati are set to launch a new co-branded motorcycle oil, Shell Advance Ducati Genuine Oil 15W-50, specifically engineered for the next generation of Ducati engines.

This innovative lubricant combines Shell’s PurePlus Technology with advanced wear protection, meeting the latest API SP and JASO MA2 standards.

The new oil has undergone extensive testing, including over 400 simulations on Italy’s challenging Autodromo Nazionale Monza circuit, to ensure superior performance, durability, and efficiency.

Riders can expect enhanced wear protection and optimal gearbox functionality, allowing their bikes to run smoothly for extended periods.

Aysun Akik, Vice President of Global Key Accounts and New Business Development at Shell Lubricants, emphasised the significance of this development, stating: “This exclusive new motorcycle oil represents a significant evolution of the Shell Advance Ducati engine oil product line, translating insights and breakthroughs from the racetrack into enhanced road-ready solutions.”

The collaboration between Shell and Ducati has played a crucial role in shaping future motorcycle technology.

Ducati has developed and tested its upcoming generation of engines exclusively with this new oil, highlighting the strong link between effective lubrication and engine performance.

This launch is a testament to the longstanding partnership between Shell and Ducati, which began in 1999 with WorldSBK Championship racing and expanded to MotoGP in 2003.

Recently, the two companies extended their Technical Partnership until 2027, further solidifying their commitment to innovation in motorcycle technology.

Shell Advance Ducati Genuine Oil 15W-50 will be available exclusively at Ducati dealerships and franchised workshops across Europe, offering Ducati enthusiasts the opportunity to experience the latest advancements from this successful technical partnership.
