Exxonmobil has reached an agreement with Petro Oceania and PetroCal to purchase its business and assets in Fiji and New Caledonia.
This includes the company’s Mobil branded retail stations, commercial sales, terminals, logistics and other assets.
Mobil will continue to have an important role in the energy security for Fiji and New Caledonia.
Exxonmobil has reached long-term supply agreements with Petro Oceania and PetroCal for Mobil fuels, and a licence agreement to allow the Mobil brand to continue to play a prominent role across the countries.
Several conditions are necessary for the transaction to be completed, which can take up to 12 months. In the meantime, Mobil will continue to operate the business.
