uvex safety Australia is set to celebrate its 30th anniversary of protecting people in Australia by launching a new range of innovative eyewear and a competition to win a piece of Olympic history.
The family-owned German company launched uvex safety Australia in 1988 and has grown to employ 50 people in five offices across the country and one located in New Zealand.
“We combine our strengths into three core brand values: leadership, quality and enthusiasm. We establish trends instead of following them,” says Andreas Dammann, Director RBU Asia, South Pacific & Managing Director, uvex safety Australia.
uvex safety Australia is proud to have Anna Meares, Australia’s most celebrated cycling champion, as a brand ambassador since 2006. Anna wore uvex when she won gold at the London Olympics in 2012.
The award-winning company is now giving people the chance to win some iconic equipment from uvex’s ‘Look for a Winner – It’s time to shine’ campaign at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics earlier this year. This is a one-off chance to own the same spectacular gold ultra-lightweight and aerodynamic uvex ski helmet and uvex contest goggles (worth $2,000) worn by world-class athletes at the event.
They also have 30 pairs of uvex pheos cx2 safety spectacles to give away, which is one for each of the 30 years that uvex has been protecting Australians in the workplace. For the chance to be one of the 30 lucky winners, entrants can simply visit http://www.uvexsafety.com.au/30years and tell us the name of their favourite up-and-coming female or male Australian sports star.
The future is bright for uvex, as the company now leads the way in smart personal protective equipment (PPE) and with their new CBR65 and CBR75 specs, which launch very soon. The revolutionary tint protects eyes from harm while delivering relaxed, focused vision with sharp contrast and harmful blue light reduction, all in one lens.
Once again, uvex will be at the forefront of innovation with the future launch of techware. The new wearable digital technologies are equipped to interact and communicate with the wearer according to their situation. The technology means increased safety, protection and comfort to the wearer on the most vulnerable parts of their body.
Forming strong partnerships is a very important part of the culture at uvex, and the association with Queensland Mining Industry (QMI) is well into its 19th year. uvex safety Australia looks forward to launching more new products at QMI’s annual conference in August – where QMI will also be celebrating their own 30-year anniversary.
uvex has been synonymous with the best possible protection for sports, leisure and the workplace for more than 90 years. Having grown from a small workshop based in Fürth, Germany, uvex has become a global company that’s firmly established itself as industry leaders.
As a German company, we see quality as a fundamental attitude, so our products are always made in uvex to ensure we provide people with the peace of mind to focus on their goals and become ‘Winners at Work’.
