Danfoss Power Solutions has unveiled its latest innovation, the Boston by Danfoss EHP530 and EHP531 antistatic hoses.
Specifically designed for oil, fuel, and gas transfer applications, these hoses are set to improve safety, reliability, and ease of use in the industry.
The EHP530 and EHP531 hoses are suitable for both suction and discharge applications, offering enhanced safety features to protect against static buildup and discharge.
The inner tube is made of a specialised antistatic rubber compound, ensuring 100 per cent antistatic performance.
These hoses also come with high-tensile textile reinforcement with copper wire for grounding and steel helix wire to prevent collapse during suction, thus improving performance and reliability.
Additionally, an NVC blend rubber cover provides ozone and oil resistance.
The EHP530 hose has a pressure rating of 10.5 bar (150 psi) and is available in sizes ranging from -12 to -192.
On the other hand, the EHP531 hose boasts a pressure rating of 20.7 bar (300 psi) and comes in sizes ranging from -16 to -128.
Both hoses maintain these pressure ratings across all sizes, ensuring consistent performance.
With a 3:1 safety factor, these hoses offer durability and reliability in demanding applications.
One of the key advantages of the EHP530 and EHP531 hoses is their greater flexibility compared to other petroleum and oil transfer hoses on the market.
This makes them easier to handle during assembly and operation.
Moreover, the hoses feature dual ink and embossed lay lines, making them easier to identify even after prolonged use, which improves traceability and simplifies hose replacement.
Commenting on the launch, Okan Cebeci, EMEA product manager, Rubber Hydraulic Hose and Fittings, Danfoss Power Solutions, said: “Our new Boston by Danfoss EHP530 and EHP531 hoses are a standout product for safety-critical applications such as oil and gas transfer.
“Offering fully antistatic construction, consistent pressure performance across a variety of sizes, and superior flexibility, the hoses can help increase safety, reliability, and ease of use.”
The EHP530 and EHP531 hoses are compatible with various oil types and petroleum, including products with aromatic content up to 50 per cent.
Their wide chemical compatibility enables reliable use across a range of applications in the oil and gas industry.
