EnerMech, a global provider of specialist services to the energy sector, has been awarded two significant pipeline pre-commissioning contracts in offshore East Malaysia.
This achievement marks a substantial milestone in the company’s expansion of critical pipeline and subsea activities in the region.
The contracts, secured with two tier-one contractor clients, will support a multinational operator’s developments in the area.
The scope of work encompasses deep-water operations at a depth of 1,300 metres, and shallow-water operations.
EnerMech’s multi-skilled team will perform a range of specialised services for both clients, including flooding, cleaning, and gauging; testing and dewatering; and nitrogen packing of subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines.
EnerMech has been operating in Asia since 2009, accumulating extensive experience in the region.
Over the past 15 years, the company has expanded its geographical presence across Asia, with operational bases in Singapore, Malaysia (regional headquarters), Indonesia, and China.
Charles “Chuck” Davison Jr., EnerMech CEO, emphasised the strategic significance of these contracts, stating: “Asia is a key geography for the business as it has significant offshore oil and gas reserves that continue to attract investment.”
He added that these new contracts align with the company’s vision to expand pipeline and subsea capabilities in the region.
Behzad Kazerani, EnerMech’s Chief Business Development Officer and General Manager for Asia, highlighted the company’s reputation in the region, noting: “Our customers recognise our Asia and Malaysia operations as a centre of excellence for their global pipeline and subsea operations.”
With its extensive expertise in delivering similar project solutions worldwide, EnerMech is well-positioned to secure further subsea pipelines and umbilicals pre-commissioning projects.
The company’s combination of technical capabilities, state-of-the-art equipment, and innovative solutions places it at the forefront of the industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
As offshore oil and gas development continues to grow in Asia, EnerMech’s latest contracts in East Malaysia demonstrate its commitment to supporting the sector’s current needs and anticipated larger projects on the horizon.
