INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) has announced a donation of 7,889,200 yen (approximately $79,000) to the Keidanren Nature Conservation Fund and other nature conservation organisations.
This donation is part of INPEX’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and is based on a policy to donate 5 per cent of the total monetary value of QUO cards presented to eligible shareholders as part of the shareholder benefit program.
The donations are directed towards organisations contributing to society, particularly in the field of nature conservation.
Recipients were selected from shareholders eligible as of 31 December 31 2023.
INPEX introduced its shareholder benefit program as a gesture of gratitude for the continuous support of its shareholders and to enhance the appeal of INPEX shares — aiming to increase the number of INPEX shareholders over the medium- to long-term.
The shareholder benefits include QUO cards featuring exclusive INPEX designs.
This initiative aligns with INPEX’s commitment to contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs) by supplying diverse energy solutions to Japan and the rest of the world in a cleaner way.
As part of its mission, the INPEX Group is dedicated to creating a brighter future for society through sustainable energy development, production, and delivery efforts.
The Keidanren Committee on Nature Conservation (KCNC) was established in 1992 to support biodiversity conservation projects in the Asia-Pacific region through the Keidanren Nature Conservation Fund (KNCF).
It also raises awareness among Japanese businesses and makes policy recommendations.
