Just like much of the world, the oil and gas industry in Australia has its eyes firmly focused on decommissioning and abandonment campaigns. With ageing infrastructure and the fact that no two wells are the same, it is inevitable that challenges will need to be overcome. To meet the demands and expectations of the decommissioning process, the reliance on skills, technology and knowledge sharing will be vitally important.
With a six-year history in delivering innovative technology for UK plug and abandonment (P&A) campaigns, Oilenco engineers have built an extensive knowledge of the market, allowing the company to develop inventive solutions that increase efficiency and reduce the cost of operations.
Oilenco, who are they?
Established in 2008 by Warren Ackroyd, company managing director, Oilenco are specialists in the design, engineering, and manufacture of well intervention and completion tool solutions.
Headquartered in Aberdeen, Scotland and with a second facility in Stavanger, Norway, the company employs 45 staff including design engineers, CNC machinists, quality inspectors, a large team of workshop and offshore technicians, a production team, account managers and a business support team.
From working directly with clients involved in P&A campaigns, Oilenco has developed a suite of tools specifically targeted at solving P&A challenges.
