ACI’s 15th Lignofuels Conference Returns to Helsinki in February 2026, Bringing Together Europe’s Advanced Biofuels Leaders
Following the success of previous editions, ACI is pleased to announce the 15th Annual Lignofuels Conference, taking place on 25–26 February 2026 at Crowne Plaza Helsinki – Hesperia in Helsinki, Finland. The two-day event will once again bring together senior decision-makers from across the advanced biofuels, lignocellulosic fuels and sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) value chain.
With more than 100+ senior-level attendees expected, the conference will serve as a strategic meeting point for producers, technology providers, investors, policymakers, offtakers and engineering companies working to scale next-generation biofuels across Europe and beyond.
The 2026 edition will focus on one core challenge facing the sector: how to translate policy ambition and market demand into bankable, financeable and scalable lignofuels projects.
A Strategic Programme Focused on Commercial Reality:
The agenda will cover the full project lifecycle — from market outlooks and regulation to feedstock supply, technology scale-up and project financing. Key themes include:
- The real market outlook for lignofuels and SAF in Europe and globally
- How regulation is shaping demand certainty and investment decisions
- Securing sustainable biomass supply at scale
- Scaling up new conversion technologies and industrial deployment
- The role of lignofuels in the future SAF market
- How public and commercial finance assess and de-risk large-scale project
