Woodside has entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) for the sale of a 49 per cent non-operating participating interest in the Pluto Train 2 Joint Venture. Pluto Train 2 is a key component of the proposed Scarborough development and includes a new LNG train and domestic gas facilities to be constructed at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility. Greater Pluto reserves and resource update

Woodside has completed a review of the reserves and resource estimates for the Greater Pluto region. Excluding 2021 production to date, the 1P Total reserves have increased by approximately 10 per cent and the 2P Total reserves have decreased by approximately 10 per cent. The review follows completion of integrated subsurface studies incorporating 4D seismic and well performance data. The updated estimate has been calculated based on a probabilistic method. The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) has granted $1.5 million in funding to support a feasibility study into the development of a 40-megawatt hydrogen hub at the Port of Newcastle in New South Wales. The Federal Government has decided to block debate of the Stopping PEP-11 Bill despite opposition to the project from Prime Minister Scott Morrison and a group of Liberal MPs. Woodside, with the support of the Western Australian state government, is planning to establish a world-scale hydrogen and ammonia production facility at a site in southern metropolitan Perth. A hybrid micro-grid that will power 13 oil pump loads in South Australia’s Cooper Basin has been completed. Well operations have commenced at the Hickory-1 well, with well bore preparations complete and perforation of the Upper SFS zone to begin ahead of fracking and flow testing. The Hickory-1 well is located within 88 Energy’s Project Phoenix acreage, directly adjacent to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System and the Dalton Highway.
