Woodside has completed the sale of a 49 per cent non-operating participating interest in the Pluto Train 2 joint venture to Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP). An Australian Federal Court has rejected a legal challenge of a gas drilling project in the Northern Territory's Beetaloo Basin. Western Gas has secured acceptance by NOPSEMA of its Environment Plan to manage activities for the Sasanof-1 exploration well on the North West Shelf. Sasanof is a 2U Prospective Resource of 7.2 Tcf gas and 176 Million bbls condensate (P501), located nearby the Giant Gas Fields of Scarborough and Io-Jansz in the Carnarvon Basin, with 32 per cent geological chance of success. Buru Energy Limited is likely to spud its development well at Ungani Oilfield this week, with the mobilisation of the Ensign 963 rig to site approximately 60 per cent complete. Operations begin at 88 Energy’s Hickory-1 well in Alaska

Well operations have commenced at the Hickory-1 well, with well bore preparations complete and perforation of the Upper SFS zone to begin ahead of fracking and flow testing. The Hickory-1 well is located within 88 Energy’s Project Phoenix acreage, directly adjacent to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System and the Dalton Highway.
