Strike Energy announces positive drilling results at West Erregulla

Strike Energy Limited has announced positive logging while drilling (LWD) results at its West Erregulla 4 well. Strike is preparing to run a full suite of wireline logging tools in order to confirm these initial results. An MDT tool will also be deployed in an attempt to obtain pressure and permeability data and to collect gas samples. Following this, Strike will drill ahead to the top of the primary target in the early Permian King Sandstone where it will then commence coring operations. The Queensland Government has given the ‘green light’ to a new Surat and Bowen Basin project which will provide more gas for the domestic market.
