Draeger Safety UK Ltd, a global leader in safety technology based in Blyth, Northumberland, has announced a significant contract extension with INEOS O&P UK.
The agreement, set to run until 2029, builds upon their existing partnership and covers the provision and maintenance of Portable Gas Detection and Rental Robot services.
The extended indirect services agreement continues the work scope established in their collaboration since 2018, during which Draeger UK has supplied critical safety services to support INEOS O&P UK’s operations.
This renewal underscores the success of their ongoing partnership and Draeger’s commitment to maintaining high safety standards in the petrochemical sector.
As part of the updated agreement, Draeger UK will introduce new products to enhance safety measures at INEOS sites.
These include ConHub, a system for individual personnel monitoring that provides real-time gas readings, and INARA, a digital safety guard capable of monitoring multiple work sites and efficiently deploying available equipment without requiring on-site personnel.
Matthew Bedford, Managing Director of the Sales & Service Division at Draeger UK, expressed enthusiasm about the contract extension, stating: “This contract extension with INEOS O&P UK is a testament to Draeger UK‘s reputation as the first choice for companies seeking to prioritise safety and innovation.”
He emphasised that the continued collaboration demonstrates Draeger’s ability to deliver cutting-edge safety solutions that enhance operational efficiency and protect personnel in the petrochemical industry.
A key component of Draeger UK’s service is the Rental Robot, an automated equipment dispensing system developed to store and track the usage of wearable safety devices such as personal gas detection monitors and breathing apparatus.
This innovative system allows trained personnel to collect necessary safety equipment using a barcode on their site access pass, ensuring that only authorised and properly trained individuals can access specific items.
The Rental Robot not only streamlines the equipment distribution process but also provides valuable data analysis.
It can generate reports on usage patterns, equipment damage, and other relevant information, offering INEOS Health and Safety and procurement teams a comprehensive overview of cost savings and an auditable trail of equipment usage by employees and contractors.
This contract extension not only reinforces Draeger UK’s position as a trusted safety technology provider but also sets the stage for potential expansion of their services throughout the UK.
By leveraging their expertise and advanced technology to support critical operations in various industries, Draeger UK continues to solidify its role as a global leader in safety solutions.
