JFD Biomedical Engineer Dr Fraser Stewart was honoured with the Young Professional Award for his significant contributions to biomedical engineering.
Dr Stewart’s work in developing medical monitoring devices for divers and submariners has been groundbreaking, enhancing operational safety in hyperbaric environments.
Balmoral’s HexDefence was recognised with the Transformational Technology Award, highlighting its innovative solution to scour erosion and cable failure issues in the offshore fixed wind market.
Balmoral Head of Product Innovation and Research & Development Dr Aneel Gill expressed pride in HexDefence’s recognition as a ‘Transformational Technology’ within the industry.
The awards ceremony, organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Aberdeen Section, celebrated achievements in an industry undergoing significant change.
