Woodside Energy has reached an in-principle agreement with the Australian Workers’ Union, the Electrical Trades Union and other bargaining representatives on an enterprise agreement — covering employees on its North West Shelf offshore platforms.
This decision was made to support the ongoing provision of safe and secure energy supply to gas customers in Western Australia and overseas.
The in-principal agreement was reached on all claims relating to remuneration and other terms and conditions of employment.
Woodside’s next steps will include finalising the enterprise agreement which will then be voted on by employees before it gets submitted for approval by the Fair Work Commission.
All unions involved — including Offshore Alliance amongst others — have agreed not to file a Notice of Protected Industrial Action while this process is underway.
Woodside CEO Meg O’Niell acknowledged the efforts from all parties involved in the bargaining process and said the company was pleased to have achieved this outcome.
“We will continue to engage in respectful and constructive dialogue with all of our people as we work together to finalise the agreement and maintain safe and reliable supply of energy to our customers,” said O’Niell.
