APC Technology will launch a new technology-focused on monitoring a diverse range of applications in harsh and hazardous areas during the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA) conference. APPEA 2021 is taking place in Perth, WA from 14-17 June.
APC Technology has collaborated with industry to design a remote monitoring system (RMS) that is customisable to meet the requirements of individual clients and be integrated with an existing sensor system.
Utilising the 24 hour, worldwide Iridium messaging service, the system aims to provide a configurable, cost-efficient data communications capability giving a safe, cost-effective alternative to on-site attendance.
Scott Begbie, Managing Director at APC Technology commented on the new technology. “APC is an innovative company at heart but it is important to ensure our product development is in line with market needs.”
“In the last 12 months, we have collaborated with companies to ascertain the challenges of remote monitoring in different environments, from oil and gas to farming infrastructure. We believe we can bring value through a durable, cost-effective solution that is versatile and reliable.”
Corey Smart business development manager and champion of the RMS technology within APC commented, “APPEA 2021 provides an opportunity to network face to face with domestic and global companies in the petroleum production and exploration industry. We aim to maximize our market research to ensure the development of the product is in line with the needs of the end-user. Our current plan is to launch the remote monitoring system in Q3 2021 based on a positive outcome during the event.”
