AusHealth Work is the commercial health and safety brand of AusHealth Corporate Pty Ltd.
AusHealth was established in 1985 with the purpose of generating revenue to support medical research.
We are wholly owned by Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) – a division of SA Health – but provide services across Australia. Our industry-leading coverage allows us to employ over 250 people, to help improve the health and safety of all Australians.
Since founding, we have returned over $32 million to research projects, leading to the creation of two publicly listed biotech organisations.
To do this, we offer a range of services including:
- Complete Drug and Alcohol Programs, from Policy to Testing
- Drug and Alcohol Testing Products
- Education and Training
- On-site Employee Vaccinations
Quality and safety certified
AusHealth Work has been awarded safety and quality certifications by independent bodies. Frequent external audits ensure we can deliver the very best service.
Drug and alcohol services
The misuse of drugs and alcohol can have a serious impact on the workplace. This could be because an affected worker acts dangerously. Or it could be that unsafe behaviours force workers into time on leave, increasing the workload of their colleagues. AusHealth Work recommends implementing a complete drug and alcohol program that starts with a policy and procedure, includes training and education, then conducts testing to detect unsafe activities and allow intervention.
Drug and alcohol testing products
Testing requires quality, well-made, accurate devices. Every testing product AusHealth Work stocks, such as urine cups, oral swabs, or alcohol breathalysers, meet Australian Standards. We can also provide all the necessary parts to conduct testing, including consumables and complete drug testing kits.
Education and training
Training is an essential part of the modern workplace. AusHealth Work is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 40379), and can come to your business to provide education sessions around drug and alcohol safety; train your supervisors how to identify, document and respond to suspicions; or even train your team to conduct testing in line with Australian Standards.
On-site employee vaccinations
Workers are often exposed to dangerous diseases that impact the well-being of your workplace. AusHealth Work provides vaccination clinics – the yearly flu jab, hepatitis, and tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis. Immunising your workers against these reduces the impact, or prevents these pathogens from making your business suffer.
