Based in Victoria, Vappro Corrosion Control Australia is wholly Australian owned, with a manufacturing facility in Campbellfield and warehousing in Oakleigh South.
VCI’s (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors) protect all recessed cavities against corrosion and works on all metal surfaces. In an enclosure the VCI emits molecules which, in the presence of moisture, hydrolise to form VCI ions. These ions are attracted to metal surfaces and form a thin mono-molecular layer over the metal surface. These ions passivate the metal and cause it to be inert to corrosion or rusting.
Vappro VCI’s (also called Vapour Corrosion Inhibitors) provide cost-effective total rust protection to ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
The layer of Vappro VCI protection does not need to be removed or degreased. No further processing is needed before processing or installation. The VCI ionic film barrier is self-healing and self-replenishing through further condensation of the vapour and protects even for packaging that is repeatedly opened. Protection typically lasts for up to 2 years.
Vappro VCI is cost-effective. No surface preparation is required for application. No labour-intensive cleanup costs are required as with conventional oil coatings. Vappro VCI is fully recyclable, eliminating all waste disposal costs.
