DENMARK: BlueNord ASA has announced an operational occurrence with the intermediate pressure (IP) gas compressor will impact the commissioning of the new Tyra II facilities in the North Sea.
The investigation has confirmed that the technical issue is related to the transformer delivering power to the IP gas compressor.
The operator, TotalEnergies, has determined that the transformer for the IP gas compressor requires repair, which will affect the timing of the ramp-up to maximum technical capacity.
Repair work is underway, and a dedicated team is concurrently developing options to partially resume gas export from Tyra II as soon as possible.
The commissioning of the Tyra II facilities, including the reinstatement of satellite fields and wells, is progressing well.
TotalEnergies expects, based on the current situation, that there will be minimal residual export volumes flowing through the Tyra hub for commissioning and entering the export system during May and June.
Subject to the conclusions of the preliminary investigation being confirmed, the operator anticipates a restart of gas export from Tyra II in July, with export volumes increasing through the third quarter of 2024.
Full technical capacity for Tyra II is expected to be reached in Q4 2024.
Due to these developments, BlueNord is reviewing its Q2-Q4 2024 production guidance and expects to provide a revised guidance in connection with its scheduled Q1 2024 results on 7 May.
