Mobil Oil (Fiji) (Mobil or the Company), a subsidiary of ExxonMobil, has successfully commissioned its largest petrol tank at the Suva Terminal, Fiji.
The tank stores premium unleaded petrol, helping Mobil to meet growing demand for premium fuels.
Mobil Oil (Fiji) Country Manager, Adi Tamara, said that despite many challenges including Cyclone Harold and the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mobil team were focused on safely and efficiently preparing the tank to support the reliable supply of fuel to Fiji.
“Despite all of the challenges of 2020, our team worked hard to refurbish an existing tank at our Suva terminal so that it could supply more of the premium fuel our customers are demanding,” said Mr Tamara.
The Company has put in place strict measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic so that its people and workplaces remain safe.
“Mobil has an important role to play in supplying essential energy to Fiji and I am so proud that our team has remained focused on working safely throughout the pandemic, so that we can maintain our reliable supply of fuel to our customers,” added Mr Tamara.
“Mobil has operated in Fiji for more than 100 years and we continue working safely to keep Mobil fuel flowing to service stations and other essential businesses and facilities across the country.”
