Apache and Total announce new oil discovery offshore of Suriname

On Thursday, Apache Corporation and Total S.A. announced an oil discovery at the Keskesi East-1 exploration well in Block 58 offshore of Suriname. Keskesi East-1 encountered targets in the upper Cretaceous-aged Campanian and Santonian intervals. The shallower Campanian interval contains 58 metres of net oil, volatile oil and condensate pay and the Santonian interval contains 5 metres of net oil and volatile oil pay. Equinor and YPF partner with Shell in block offshore of Argentina

Equnior and Argentine energy company, YPF, have entered into an agreement with Shell to jointly farm-down 30 per cent non-operated interests in the CAN 100 block, located in the North Argentinian Basin, offshore of Argentina. Breakthrough ship-to-ship transfer of LNG cargo completed

Qatargas Operating Company Limited has completed the first-ever commercial ship-to-ship (STS) transfer of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo involving a Q-Flex LNG vessel. The transfer took place at Subic Bay in the Philippines. A full cargo of 212,000 cubic metres aboard the Qatargas-chartered Q-Flex vessel ‘Mesaimeer’ was loaded at Ras Laffan Port on 18 December 2020 and delivered as two separate parcel discharges. Oil discovery in the Norwegian Sea

On December 22, 2020, ConocoPhillips announced a new oil discovery in production license 891 on the Slagugle prospect located roughly 22 kilometres north-northeast of the Heidrun Field in the Norwegian Sea. ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS is operator of the license with 80 per cent working interest. Pandion Energy AS is a license partner with 20 per cent working interest.
