A syndicate of sophisticated investors has agreed to inject $3.5 million into Pilot Energy (ASX:PGY) to progress the company’s flagship Mid West Clean Energy Project (MWCEP) in Western Australia. Galilee Energy has welcomed the Central West Queensland Remote Area Planning and Development (RAPAD) and VisIR partnership which will progress the proposed 930-kilometre electricity transmission line from Hughenden to Bileola. Santos delays FID for Narrabri gas project until 2025

Santos has announced in its latest ASX investor update that a final investment decision (FID) on its Narrabri gas project will not take place until 2025. This comes after the Australian federal government recently announced it will reassess the company’s Hunter Gas Pipeline under Commonwealth environmental laws. The project decision will remain open until 8 December 2023. A subsidiary of ExxonMobil Australia — Mobil Oil Australia — is investing in additional fuel storage infrastructure at its Melbourne terminal, as it hopes to support Australia’s fuel security and cement the company’s role as a critical supplier of fuel for Victoria and the east coast. TotalEnergies starts gas production and signs contract in Oman

In line with its growth strategy in gas and LNG, a fuel contributing to the energy transition, TotalEnergies announces the start of gas production from onshore Block 10 in the Sultanate of Oman as well as an agreement with Oman LNG for a long-term LNG purchase contract. Gas production from the Mabrouk North-East field in the onshore Block 10 is expected to reach 500 million standard cubic feet per day by mid-2024. Barents Blue project changes partners as agreement period ends

Horisont Energi has announced Fertiberia as a new partner to join the Barents Blue project, as the previous partners Equinor and Vår Energi leave the project following the cooperation agreement expiring on 31 January. The Barents Blue concept is to make ammonia from natural gas from the Barents Sea, capture the CO2 and store it under the seabed. FPSO vessel for Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project sets sail

The floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel for the bp-operated Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) liquefied natural gas (LNG) project has started its journey towards the project site off the coasts of Mauritania and Senegal.
