Brookside Energy Limited has provided an update on its activity at its expanded Bradbury Area of Interest (AOI), located within the Arbuckle Uplift – Ardmore Basin in Oklahoma.
Successful ongoing production testing of a secondary target sand within the Simpson Group in the Juanita Well has resulted in a peak production test rate of 258 BOEPD (78% Oil).
Based on the success of this production test and the production testing of a lower zone, which delivered a peak production test rate of 329 (BOEPD) (75% Oil), the Black Mesa team is now optimising development scenarios for these two zones. The current plan anticipates that production will be focussed on these two zones initially with testing of the remaining horizons to occur in the future.
Managing Director, David Prentice said: “We are once again pleased to report these very encouraging test results from our Juanita Well, our first well in this new AOI. These results come on the back of the earlier positive results from the test of the deeper primary target.
“The team are now busy working on the plan to establish commercial production from these two zones and we look forward to providing further updates as production and sales are established.”
About the Juanita Well
The Juanita Well is a vertical well, drilled by Dan D Drilling Rig 7 and operated by Black Mesa Energy, LLC (a controlled subsidiary of Brookside) in the Bradbury AOI. The Juanita Well was drilled as a vertical well to a measured depth of ~1900 metres.
The Juanita Well is targeting 10 potential oil reservoirs, including zones from within the highly productive Simpson Group, all of which are proven producers in the area, with mean cumulative production from vertical wells in the Bradbury AOI of ~130 MBO per well, including a 744 MBO producer about 1.5 kilometres east of the Juanita Well location.
