Leigh Creek Energy Limited’s 100 owned subsidiary, Leigh Creek Oil and Gas Pty Ltd, has been awarded Petroleum Exploration Licence 676 (PEL) in key South Australian Cooper Basin oil and gas acreage. Roma North Gas Processing Facility expansion now complete

A $15 million expansion of the Roma North Gas Processing Facility is now complete, after Jemena and its project partners finalised testing at the site last month. The project’s construction - which ran for three months - created approximately 50 jobs and saw around $500,000 spent with businesses in Queensland’s Maranoa region. The expansion has increased the processing facility’s capacity by about 50 per cent, so it can now process around 24 terajoules (TJs) of gas per day, up from 16TJs, in line with increasing production from Senex Energy’s Roma North gas field. Santos has awarded a contract for the design, construction and installation of the Wellhead Platform (WHP) for the Dorado project, in the Bedout Sub-basin, offshore Western Australia. Chevron Australia and Aker Solutions have made an order worth approximately $120 million for ABB to supply the overall Electrical Power System (EPS) for the Jansz-Io Compression (J-IC) project. Senex Energy Limited has announced that the final investment decision (FID) has been taken for the $40 million expansion of natural gas production at Atlas by 50 per cent to 18 petajoules (PJ) per year. Senex’s Atlas operation is located 20 kilometres south-west of Wandoan in Queensland’s Surat Basin. Origin, as operator of the Beetaloo Exploration Project, has confirmed that the Velkerri 76 S2-1 well (EP76) has been successfully spudded. The Beetaloo Exploration Project is a joint venture between Origin and Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd.
